Minimizing Risk When Diving

Author: DiveMaster

It’s no secret that you have to gear-up with lots of equipment when scuba diving. After squeezing into your wet/dry suit, you’ll equip yourself with fins, a diving mask and, of course, a proper breathing apparatus. The oxygen tank necessary to every dive is carried on your back, leaving no room for a backpack to carry other supplies for exploration such as an underwater camera or diving knife.

To experience the ultimate dive, you’ll want to be sure to carry a mesh dive bag. This lightweight storage bag allows divers to bring along supplies that cannot be individually carried or strapped onto your body. It’s important to minimize the equipment/supplies that are directly attached to your body to prevent the risk of entanglement. Therefore, a diving bag allows you to experience a safe, yet adventurous, dive.

Proper Scuba Gear Storage

Author: DiveMaster

mesh-dive-bagStoring and transporting your scuba diving gear can be quite a hassle. Not only is the equipment heavy and awkward, it also has a distinctive smell and has a tendency to get sand trapped in it. Each time you go for a dive you should clean all of your equipment thoroughly to remove the salt and prevent corrosion.

Even if you take this step, your gear will still run the risk of acquiring an odor. One of the best ways to mediate this is by using a mesh dive bag for your fins, snorkel and other small equipment. The mesh will ensure all of the excess water drains out and the gear has an opportunity to dry thoroughly.

Bag It Up

Author: DiveMaster

mesh-dive-bagI’ve been snorkeling in my free time for years now, but recently I’ve gotten a hankering for deep-sea exploration. It’s not that I ever grow tired of gliding gently through shallow water and marveling at coral reefs; I just wanted to add an extra element of adventure. I found the answer in scuba diving, which allows me to quite literally immerse myself in marine habitats.

Once I had acquired all my diving gear, a new problem presented itself: How can I tote all this stuff around on trips? It turns out that a lightweight, mesh dive bag holds my fins, my wetsuit and everything in between. Now that my new passion is easily portable, I book scuba excursions every time a vacation rolls around.
